Repair & restringing
Cord and closure are restrung by the house for the life of the piece. Send it home; it comes back in seven to ten days.

What is covered
The cord, the knots and the closure, for as long as the piece exists, at no charge, however many times. If the cord wears, loosens or breaks, the piece is restrung on the same bench that made it, by the same method, and recorded against the same number.
Beads that are lost or broken are replaced from the same material where the house still holds it, at cost. When the material has retired, we will tell you honestly and propose the nearest match. Antique-finished hardware that has worn through is replaced in kind. Damage from another workshop's work is not covered, and we would rather you sent it to us first.
Process

01 · Write with the number
Email [email protected] with the atelier number and a photograph of the piece. We reply within one business day with a tracked label.

02 · Pack it in its box
Loose beads go in the small envelope inside the lid. If the cord has broken, do not try to re-thread it; send everything as it is.

03 · Restrung and rested
The piece is restrung to its recorded size, or to a new size if you ask, and rests one night beside selenite before it is sealed again.

04 · Back in 7 to 10 days
Turnaround is seven to ten days from the day it arrives, including the return shipping. The ledger is updated with the date.
Wood
Between visits
Wood pieces are the ones that most often come back for restringing, because they are worn the most. Between visits: keep them out of water, never oil or wax them, and take them off over the hand rather than by pulling a bead. A sandalwood strand restrung on its tenth birthday, with its beads darkened and its cord new, is the best thing that leaves this bench.
