Pale sandalwood beads with a carved barrel at the centre, and a measured sequence of moss-green aventurine and one sky-coloured amazonite. It smells faintly of wood for the first weeks and darkens with the hand for years.

It belongs to Continuity. In the old farming calendar a fallow season was not lost time; it was how the ground was kept. Tradition holds aventurine as the stone of the next season and amazonite as the door left ajar. Sandalwood was counted for a thousand years by people who needed to slow down on purpose.
