Shop by stone

Start with the stone.

Eighteen materials, each looked at under three lights before it is kept. Eight of them here.

The atelier bench: dark wood, a tray of loose stones, cord and a lamp.

The making

Made after it is ordered, in six steps.

  1. 01

    Select under three lights

Morning, dusk, desk lamp. A bead that only performs in one of them is set aside.

  2. 02

    Compose the circle

Where the focal stone sits, how the barrel is weighted, which side faces the room. Decided once, on the bench.

  3. 03

    String to the wrist

Bead count and cord tension are set to the centimetre you gave us, so the circle sits still under a shirt.

  4. 04

    Close by hand

The closure is finished by hand and the metal is antique-finished, so it reads as old rather than new.

  5. 05

    Rest beside selenite

One night in a sealed box beside selenite. Clients call it the cleansing; we call it a habit we keep.

  6. 06

    Seal and record

One bead in the circle is engraved with the atelier number and turned to the inside of the wrist. Sealed in the morning; number and wrist size go into the ledger.

The mark you carry

In the East, authority was never a signature. It was a seal: small, carried on the body, pressed once at the moment that mattered. We make stone bracelets the way seals were made. To one wrist. Under one number. Kept for life.

Long before anyone wrote about presence, the people who held authority kept stones close. Obsidian was polished into mirrors to see what was really in the room. Beads were counted under the table during difficult audiences, one turn per breath, until the hand was steady.

None of it was decoration. It was a private ritual for public hours. We think it still works, in the only way that matters: the hand finds the stone, the breath slows, the room gets a little quieter.

The private circle

Numbered pieces are offered to the circle first. One note a month, nothing else.
