The story of this piece
Direction / Ambition
A measured ring of amber and old gold
High-lustre tiger eye gathered around a gold-tone barrel cut with the meander, the pattern that turns and never ends. Smoky quartz and onyx keep the ground dark so the amber reads as light rather than colour. It is the warmest, most formal piece in the house.
It belongs to Command. The meander, 回纹, is one of the oldest patterns in the East, drawn on bronze and lacquer to mean continuity of fortune: a line that keeps moving without breaking. Tradition holds tiger eye for the momentum and smoky quartz for keeping what the momentum brings.
Made for the person building something with a horizon further than the next quarter. It is worn most often with a dark suit and a white cuff, where the gold is the only warm thing in the frame.

Tiger eye
Golden-brown bands of fibrous quartz that shift as the wrist turns — the chatoyant 'eye'.
Worn in old markets to draw fortune and to keep it; the hunter's stone that waits and then moves.

What if I don't know my wrist size?
Order without a size. We write to you before stringing with a two-minute way to measure, and we hold the piece until you reply.
Can I wash my hands with it on?
Yes, briefly. Take it off for showers, swimming and sleep; wood and porous stones prefer to stay dry.
What happens if the cord wears?
Send it back. The house restrings cord and closure for life; a restring takes seven to ten days.
Is it a good gift if I don't know their size?
Yes. Choose Standard fit and the middle of the range, and add a note. One complimentary resize is included, and the record card explains it.
